Eisenhower and area Girl Scouts selling cookies
It's that one time of year that people actually look forward to someone coming to their door selling something. Eisenhower and other area Girl Scouts have been hitting the streets selling their tasty cookies.
Eisenhower is currently home to five Girl Scout troops, including Daisies, Brownies and Junior Girl Scouts. Girl Scouts has gone through many changes over the years, but selling cookies remains as their main source of funding for their scouting activities and overnights.
If you haven't had a Girl Scout come to your door, look for them from mid-February through early March outside grocery stores in the area.
2012 marks the 100th year of Girl Scouts. Cookies varieties include Savannah Smiles, Trefoils, Thank U Berry Munch, Tagalongs, Samoas, Do-si-dos, Dulce de Leche and Thin Mints. Boxes are $3.50. Thanks for your support!
