Rock Creek’s Non-Perishable Food Drive Pickup this Sunday
Hi, Folks. A few years back I started a program for Rock Creek residents to donate food items to the Boulder County Food Share during the Thanksgiving holiday time.
It is a program that has been incredibly successful, for both the residents of Rock Creek and the Community Food Share. The folks at the Food Share have told me they would love to have this program in other neighborhoods.
The way it works is that you fill the attached bag (or multiple bags) with non-perishable food items and leave the bags visibly out near your front door on the appointed date.
I will come by and collect the bags and deliver a large donation on behalf of the residents of Rock Creek to Boulder County Food Share.
You don’t need me to tell you how tough times are, we have all seen examples throughout our own lives. At this time of Thanksgiving, it is important to remember all the things in our lives that we can be grateful for. It is also a time to recognize that we all have the ability to help create enjoyment, happiness and well being in others and that a few items in a bag can provide that spark.
I will collect all bags and donations on Sunday, November 20th. Please leave your bag(s) out early and thank you for your generosity.
Happy Holidays.
