The 2nd Annual Phantom 4miler
The Embassy Suites Loveland's 2nd Annual Phantom 4-Mile Race, Bone Chilling Breakfast and Costume Contest will be held Saturday, October 29, 2011. This year, the course has been redesigned and will start and finish at the Embassy Suites Loveland. There will be prizes for the best adult costume, best team costume, best child's costume and best dog costume!
The Phantom 4-Miler was started in October 2010 with the goal to raise money for the Denkai Animal Sanctuary. The race was a huge success in 2010 raising over $6,000 for Denkai and bringing in more than 200 runners, families and friends.
The Sanctuary, located near Grover, Colorado, surrounded by the beautiful and serene Pawnee National Grasslands, is home to more than 100 horses, dogs, cats and other animals on any given day who come from shelters, rescue groups and owners no longer able to care for their pets from around the United States. The Sanctuary has quickly become a destination for several hundred visitors and volunteers each year including local youth-at-risk who have found sanctuary themselves in the kindness offered to them.
