8z turns out for the 2017 Venus de Miles

The last weekend of August marked the tenth annual Venus de Miles, a fundraiser and organized bike ride benefiting the non-profit Greenhouse Scholars. Greenhouse Scholars supports low-income high-achieving students with scholarships, mentorships, and support for college success. The event is Colorado’s largest women’s bike ride offering 33, 64, and 100 mile courses through Boulder county.

8z Real Estate staff, agents, family and friends participated for the third year.

There were a total of 25 riders on the 8z Real Estate team. Ten other 8zers assisted with aid stations, and helped at the finish line festival.
Upon completing the ride, participants enjoyed food, drinks and fun at the finish line festival at Prospect New Town park in Longmont.

The 8z Shasta was in appearance, serving 8z Blue Lemonade, and popcorn. Visitors to the 8z Shasta and tent got to sign up for the 8z raffle which included bike gear and 8z shwag, and take their best swings at the ping pong table against 8z office champs.

Venus de Miles is just one part of 8z’s commitment to Greenhouse Scholars. The company makes a donation to the organization for each transaction closed. 8z agents and staff have participated on the selection committee, reading applications and interviewing prospective scholars.
