About David Bacon

David brings a uniquely strategic and community-focused perspective to Colorado real estate, backed by decades of experience across technology, entrepreneurship, leadership, and public service. A longtime Colorado resident who grew up in Aurora and attended the University of Colorado Boulder, David earned degrees in Genetic Engineering and Applied Physics before launching a successful career that included founding and selling a software company and serving in executive leadership roles for global corporations and startups.

Today, David specializes in residential and mountain real estate throughout Colorado Springs, Manitou Springs and Old Colorado City. Having lived and worked across Denver, the foothills, and ski country, he understands that Colorado real estate is highly localized, with each market presenting its own opportunities, regulations, construction considerations, and lifestyle nuances.

David originally began his real estate career with 8z Real Estate and returned because of the brokerage’s collaborative culture and commitment to excellence. After spending time in the Pacific Northwest, he and his wife Lynda returned home to Colorado, settling in the Garden of the Gods area, where they enjoy the outdoor lifestyle and strong sense of community that first drew them to the region.

Known for his thoughtful guidance and deep local expertise, David approaches every transaction as a trusted advisor and advocate. Clients value his diligence, market knowledge, and steady, relationship-driven approach, particularly when navigating unique or complex Colorado properties.

Outside of real estate, David and Lynda are avid outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy hiking, biking, skiing, and camping throughout Colorado. David also serves as Treasurer and board member for Project Mindset, a nonprofit supporting mental health resources for veterans, first responders, and their families.
