About Mike Ondrasek

Hi, I’m Mike. I first landed in Colorado after college and found my way to Buena Vista in the summer of 2000. One look at this valley, the river, and the vibrant outdoor lifestyle—and I was hooked. I knew I had found my place.

For over two decades, I worked as a fly fishing guide on the Arkansas River, spending summers rowing clients through some of the most scenic stretches in the state. In the winters, I traveled the oceans, chasing billfish as part of tournament and charter crews. That time on the water taught me a lot about patience, intuition, and building genuine relationships—skills that now shape the way I serve my real estate clients.

My transition into real estate came from a simple truth: I love this valley, and I want others to experience just how special it is. Helping people put down roots here—whether it’s their forever home, vacation retreat, or first mountain property—is incredibly rewarding.

What sets me apart is the deep local knowledge I bring to the table and the strong relationships I’ve built throughout the community. I go beyond just buying and selling—I connect people to the lifestyle, neighbors, and rhythm of life here in Buena Vista.
