Ryan Carter, CEO of 8z Real Estate, has built his career on elevating people, first as a top-producing agent and mentor, and now as the visionary leader guiding one of Colorado’s most successful independent brokerages.

Ryan began his journey in real estate committed to delivering exceptional client service before channeling his passion for leadership into building one of Denver’s highest-performing agent teams. His success and commitment to developing others led him to the helm of 8z, becoming President in 2018 and later ascending to CEO in 2025.

As CEO, Ryan is dedicated to shaping the future of 8z through innovation, growth, and empowerment. He has charted a path of partnership and opportunity for agents while driving the brokerage’s expansion into new markets, increased productivity, and elevated average sales performance. Under his leadership, 8z continues to set the standard for agent excellence and collaborative culture in Colorado real estate.

A recognized industry voice, Ryan serves on the Board of Directors for the Denver Metro Association of Realtors (DMAR) and on the Real Estate Technology Panel at the University of Colorado Boulder. His insights have been featured in REAL Trends, Inman, The Denver Post, 5280, BusinessDen, and more. He was also named Managing Broker of the Year by DMAR, an honor made more meaningful because it stemmed from his team’s nomination.

Deeply committed to community impact, Ryan founded 8z’s Keys4Life program, which provides grants and financial education to first-time homebuyers. He has also supported Greenhouse Scholars, a Boulder-based nonprofit empowering high-achieving students from low-income backgrounds, and participated in the Road to Home initiative in Haiti to help build community centers for local youth.

Ryan lives in Denver’s Hilltop neighborhood with his partner and enjoys traveling and exploring global design and architecture, passions that reflect his belief that beautiful spaces and strong communities have the power to change lives.
