With 40 years of experience, I am proud to be one of Boulder's most trusted real estate brokers, consistently ranking as the #1 agent in the area. Having sold more homes in Boulder than any other broker or team, I bring an unmatched level of expertise, insight, and dedication to every client I serve.

Real estate has been a lifelong passion for me, deeply rooted in my family's history. My grandfather was a home builder and commercial artist, and from an early age, I worked alongside him, learning the ins and outs of home construction. My mother also had a 50-year career as a Realtor, running her own successful brokerage. Growing up in this environment gave me a firsthand understanding of both the craftsmanship behind building homes and the intricacies of real estate sales.

I hold the prestigious Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) designation and am a Certified Negotiations Expert (CNE). Over my career, I’ve been honored with multiple accolades, including the President’s Award from the Boulder Area Realtor Association, induction into the RE/MAX International Hall of Fame, and recognition with RE/MAX’s Lifetime Achievement and Circle of Legends awards.

What sets me apart is my hands-on knowledge of Boulder's real estate landscape, from market trends to home construction. I’ve personally designed, built, and remodeled numerous homes, allowing me to see the true potential in any property. My appraisal-format market evaluation—a skill I learned from my sister, a retired residential real estate appraiser—gives my clients a strategic advantage when buying or selling a home.

Before fully dedicating myself to real estate, I had another lifelong passion—music. As a singer, songwriter, and guitarist, I was fortunate to perform my original music on KBCO Studio C, at Red Rocks, and at the Ryman Auditorium, home of the Grand Ole Opry. For 10 years, I was the frontman for Shakey Ground, a popular Boulder band, and I played my final gig at the Bluebird Café in Nashville in 2000. These days, my most important audience and biggest fan is my 2 ½-year-old granddaughter, who loves nothing more than dancing along to a good tune.

Beyond real estate, I cherish spending time with my wife, Mindy, and our multi-generational family. We love creating meaningful experiences together, whether at our homes in Colorado and Wisconsin or embarking on new adventures. We even spent four winters on our 50' Jefferson, learning to sail and exploring the waters of Florida and the Bahamas.
