The town of Windsor, CO has a distinctly small-town feel. The city is definitely growing, however, with many new build communities popping up all over town. The housing stock is primarily suburban, with a heavy emphasis on single family homes. The up and coming downtown area, in lower Windsor, has excellent walkability to nearby amenities and many renovated older homes. This neighborhood, along with the Water Valley area, are the closest you will get to an “urban” atmosphere in Windsor. Other high demand areas include neighborhoods near Windsor Lake/Boardwalk Park, where many local events take place, and homes near the new rec center and trail system. Windsor is also surrounded by larger homes on acreage, which tend to be popular as well.
